Furry Friends
Jarrod

Hi! I'm Jarrod, and I just started "working" at StoreyManseau on Monday, Dec 6 after traveling all the way from Tennessee just a few days before. As you can see from my picture, I was exhausted!

I don''t know much about my past or even what kind of dog I am. They think I might be a Lab/Beagle mix and think I might be 2 years old. But I am clumsy like a puppy. I also arrived undernourished and with cuts, scars, and fresh surgical incisions. But I''m eating well now, get treats, and have a loving family taking care of me! I should be better in no time.

My new brother, Nemo, hasn't been particularly welcoming. But I understand. He has been an only child for a few years and needs his space. But i''m sure we will become friends soon. I will keep you all up-to-date on my progress.

Nemo

My name is Nemo--yes, like the fish! I was named after the Disney character by the folks at Get-A-Pet because I am missing half of one of my ears (It's my "lucky ear"). I'm not really sure what happened to it...I've been told it was bitten off by another dog when I was very small. I am 5.25 years old and, at 18 lbs, a full grown dog. But my mommy still calls me puppy because, compared to her previous pet, a 120 lb Great Dane/Lab mix, I will always appear a puppy. I have been completely home-schooled and am a very well behaved boy (at least that's what everyone says). I know several commands and tricks. My favorite games are peek-a-boo and hide and seek (except in our version of hide and seek, mommy covers my eyes and hides a toy or rawhide then tells me to find it). I also love to play fetch...I run really fast (which impresses my girlfriend Tessa who lives next door). I also love to cuddle and lay in mommy's lap when I'm sleepy. I go to work (I love work) everyday...my jobs include providing companionship, being a snuggle-bug, and getting mommy out for exercise. But mostly I like to curl up on her desk in my bed or on the window sill and sleep.

Lexi

Lexi joined our staff in May 2005. Her job is to enthusiastically greet visitors to our office, and can usually be found being patted, played with, or napping. When she isn't at the office, Lexi enjoys playing, sleeping, barking, and frolicking with her cat.
